Where to find That Pink Door Palm Springs

The most famous and popular door of them all, That Pink Door Palm Springs can be found at:

That Pink Door – the most famous door in Palm Springs!

But don’t stop there! So many people (we watched them) just pull up in a car, jump out to take a quick pic and leave. There is so much more to this beautiful neighbourhood than this one (albeit beautiful) door.

Best colourful door itinerary Palm Springs

This is my colourful door tour itinerary! We spent a perfect day cycling around to check out these locations, the houses were awesome. It was a perfect day and one we can’t wait to repeat soon. We hired our bikes from Big Wheels Tours, check out my review here. We loved doing this. You could of course drive it or walk it but honestly it was so much fun on e-bikes, Palm Springs is super set up for cycling.

Where is the best place to see colourful doors in Palm Springs?

Ok so Las Palmas, The Tennis Club and The Movie Colony neighbourhoods are best for mid century modern house tours. However, fi you want the BEST colourful doors you HAVE to go Canyon View Estates!

(Please remember that all of these neighbourhoods are peoples homes, so while riding your bike along and taking pictures from the street is perfectly acceptable you should be polite about it. That means please don’t go on peoples lawns, driveways or actually up to the doors themselves. Remain a respectful distance away, imagine it is your own home. Think how you would want people acting around your house and do the same.)

This is the order I would visit the following houses so you don’t end up in circles, although we did return to our favourite houses before leaving!

Colourful Doors Palm Springs Itinerary

Colourful Door Route 1

Starting at the famous That Pink Door Palm Springs, 1100 E Sierra Way get your pictures so you know you have ticked that off the list and then head…

Directly across the street from That Pink Door is a tall yellow door, it couldn’t be easier to find! There are some gates in front but the whole entrance is pretty dramatic. 1131 E Sierra Way

Just down the street you will find The Turquoise Door at 1221 East Sierra Way, the house is lovely and you can still see the colour of the door. It is super close so worth stopping by.

Further along the street you will come across ‘The Party Lions’. You can’t miss these guys! They are dressed up seasonly and for holidays. It is usually pretty different each time you visit so check out what they are doing! We thought it was really cute. 1076 East Sierra Way

Next up is the bright pink door at 1500 Lobo Way. This one is a really vibrant colour..

Heading north east and a little more of a ride away at 1947 Cadiz Circle is ‘The Red Door’. The striking colour is vibrant against all the whites. We loved the contrast.

Stop off at the Saguaro Hotel for lunch or grab something from the shops nearby! Then carry on heading back into the Estates…

Colourful Door Route Two

The Bright Yellow Door Palm Springs, 2344 S Yosemite Drive

There are two Teal Doors and both are worth checking out! The first is at 2297 Camino Real and the second at 2325 Via Lazo.

There are two pretty doors right next to each other at 2396 Sierra Madre. These Teal and Pink Doors are next to each other and super cute. Highly recommend these!

For those that love a bright pop of colour we have the Lime Green Door at 2455 East Via Lazo

Blue circles! This house has the coolest circles in front of its door, is that not mid century modern right there? The blue colour is really pretty and those circles are gorgeous, 2222 S Caliente Dr

This tall turquoise door is one of my favourites! So pretty and I love the house too! 2244 S Yosemite

Red door in the prettiest area. Kings Road really has a lot of cool houses to stop off and check out, 2690 Kings Road W.

I created two maps on Google Maps with all of these locations on them, check them out Palm Springs Colourful Door Map 1 and Palm Springs Colourful Door Map 2. This makes organising your time so much easier!

Hyatt Palm Springs – in the absolute centre of town this is the usual excellent Hyatt standard, you won’t be disappointed.

Palm Springs Boutique Hotels

Drift Palm Springs – Iconic styling, a gorgeous stay

Fleur Noire Hotel – super pretty and very plush, it’s a great location.

Hotels in Downtown Palm Springs

Delos Reyes – it’s a little below downtown (easy bus ride or stroll in) but has the colourful building and pool for that Palm Springs vibe on a budget. Tip -book a deluxe room for the better option. Rooms also include a microwave if you’re a budget traveller this can be handy!

Motel 6 Downtown – slightly more in town and slightly more expensive than the Delos Reyes.
