Villa Merida is located just an easy walk from the centre of Merida. With wide footpaths and colourful houses dotted along the walk is a pleasure in the breeze of morning or afternoon. Alternatively a bus runs along the street or there is Didi and Uber available.

Left of the entrance you will find a room with immaculate dining table and library, a shared space to read, enjoy some peace and relax. Across the garden is a sitting area with billiards table, we spent a delightful afternoon playing pool and enjoying our incredible surrounds.

Each pathway and patio area is a space to be enjoyed and treasured. The unique tiles and furniture complementing the surroundings. Walking past the billiards room you will enter the pool area through a patio. Walking through the gardens the pool appears glittering in the sunlight. The curved edges creating a stunning feature amongst the gardens and sun beds.

There is a full shared kitchen complete with every thing you could need for a comfortable stay. A gas stove, toaster, kettle, coffee, guest fridge/freezer and water station

We opened up the tall wooden doors to the most exquisite space! Room four is a loft design. Tthe downstairs area dedicated to a huge lounge room, desk space. Decorated with unique and simple touches, it is pure luxury.. Each piece looks like it was always there, nothing distracts from the overall sense of calm.

Through another large set of tall doors is the most glamourous bathroom. It is complete with claw foot tub, brass fittings and a stunning limestone sink. The sweetly scented toiletries add to the atmosphere and the whole room oozes a tranquil indulgence.

Upstairs the luxurious king sized bed with fills the room with a pretty swinging hammock chair in the corner is the perfect place to read. Through 2 wooden sliding doors is a full walk in wardrobe with makeup table. The whole space is elegantly appointed and carries the sumptuous nature of the villa through.

Our time at villa Merida Boutique Hotel was perfect. Tranquil and indulgent it is an oasis in the middle of Merida. There is so much to do in and around Merida, we could have stayed five nights to soak it up properly!
