Travel essential! Product review of Larq Waterbottles

Our travel essential! Product review of Larq Water Bottles We are always on the lookout for a good travel product, or ‘travel bling’ as Mike calls it and this water bottle is exactly that! They make a perfect present for people who travel and with Christmas coming up let me explain why we love them.

Why we love Larq Water bottles

We were searching for the perfect travel water bottle. One that could filter out the nasties, look good and give us peace of mind while travelling that the water we were drinking was safe. Larq met all these requirements in spades!

All our blog posts contain affiliate links that help us keep our blog running at no extra cost to you! When you click on our links to book accommodation, activities or transport we earn a very small commission. Clicking on our links to purchase products, accommodation or activities costs no extra to you but helps to keep our blog online!

Where we have tested our Larq Water Bottles

We’ve taken our Larq Water Bottles on several trips now, and will soon be taking them to China. The most rigourous testing was on our Indonesia trip where they held up during our sunrise volcano hike, our epic waterfall hikes and everything in between!

Best Features of the Larq Water Bottles

We chose the flip lid water bottles which have the filter straw, we also got one of the UV lids to use on occasion to help keep our bottles clean. These are our favourite features of the Larq Waterbottles:

The filters

This is one of the best features, it really keeps the water you are consuming clean and clear! We find ourselves drinking more water because it tastes so good! The filters last approximately 6 months and are super easy to install. I feel much safer when a hotel or hostel has free water filling machines when using my Larq as I know it has that extra filtration inside it!

The colours

There is a colour for everyone! I chose white and Mike went with black but there are pastels and other colour combinations for those who are a little more exciting with their colour choices!

The build and size

We selected the 750ml bottles and they are the perfect size for travel, not too small or too big! When we really need a drink they hold enough to quench your thirst and we don’t find ourselves running out too much. The bottles are built super well also, they are strong and so far have survived being accidentally dropped when on the go without a dent…I even accidentally dropped mine while getting on a boat in Indonesia and it survived rolling around in the salt water for a minute too!

They keep your drinks cold!

Yep, you can put cold water in here and it stays nice and cold. We love this as there is nothing more disappointing as warm water when you are in a hot climate!

The hanger

The little hanger is so useful! We cinch it to everything, bags, straps, handles, transport and belts. It is strong and perfect for the task.

Options

They also have a few varieties of water bottles, there is the swig top, the standard bottle with a UV lid and waterjugs if you want them in your home! We love that there is a Larq bottle for everyone! Check them all out here on their Amazon store.

Who this would suit

We think anyone would love a Larq Water Bottle, we certainly do! They are perfect for people on the go that want clean water and to feel safe about what they are drinking. They are particularly useful for people who travel and may not always be able to clean out their water bottles. The UV cap helps to keep the bottle clean and fresh, without getting that stale smell. They are a great bottle for regular use and make a perfect birthday or Christmas present for travellers too!

We were lucky enough to be gifted our Larq water bottles but, as always, our review and opinions are all our own. We value our readers trust and would not recommend something we wouldn’t use ourselves. You will definitely see us on the road with our Larq Water Bottles!

Are You Booking a Trip Soon? These are the sites we trust!

These are the sites we use to book, they are our affiliate links and by clicking through you will help us earn a few cents to keep our website up online. We really appreciate it!

1. Book Your Flights

We will always check and book through Booking or Trip.com they have great deals!

2. Book Your Accommodations

We always check Booking.com, Expedia, Klook and Trip.com. They all have great deals and sometimes are better in different continents, for example we almost used Trip and Klook exclusively in Asia and Booking.com always in Europe!

3. Buy your E-sim!

E-sims have changed the game in communication while travelling. They are cheap and easy to use, we never go without them. Our current favourite is Yesim!

4. Book Your Tours & Experiences

I usually use and recommend Get Your Guide, Klook and Viator to book tours and activities. They also have shuttle options to and from airports which is great. I love the real reviews you can check and we have never had a problem with them!

5. Book Your Rental Car

Self-driving is my favourite way to explore most destinations, we use Rental Cars.

6. Don’t Forget Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is a must, Mike travelled for years without it but now we see that was a little crazy! We feel so much better knowing we have a backstop for cancelled flights, delayed luggage, sickness on the road and wouldn’t be without it! Safety Wing is great, especially for frequent travellers.

7. Airport Lounge Access is a must!

Use Priority Pass to access to 1,400+ VIP lounges and airport experiences worldwide.
