Looking for the best place to stay in Interlaken? We wanted to base ourselves in Interlaken for 3 days to explore the area. Interlaken itself, the lakes and surrounding area. We found the best place to stay in Interlaken at No 8 Boutique Hotel. Switzerland is such a spectacular place to visit and Interlaken is amongst the most beautiful part, we know you will love exploring it!
Location of the best place to stay in Interlaken
No.8 Boutique Hotel is perfectly situated right in the middle of the Interlaken area. It is actually right on the Aare River! We arrived by train to the Interlaken west train station and it was a very short walk to the hotel. However it is equally easy to walk to from Interlaken Ost train station. This is really something that was important to us as we were planning to travel the area and wanted to find the best place to stay in Interlaken which was close to the train station.
The hotel
The hotel is very easy to access. Self check in is a simple process and very easy to follow. There are multiple levels accessed via a curved stairway which was so pretty. The whole hotel has a very cool design with an eclectic industrial feel. There is a shared kitchen space with everything needed for self catering if you want to eat some meals in.
Our Room
We stayed in a standard double and it was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and fresh and the whole stay was very relaxing after long days exploring. We were on the second floor and it was super quiet and peaceful, we had windows that looked out on the street below but had no problem with any noise bothering us! It was honestly perfect.
Final thoughts
We loved our time at No.8 Boutique Hotel and really recommend it for your time in Interlaken. Having the kitchen was great for when you want a quick meal at home, to keep snacks and drinks in the fridge. If you are looking for where to eat in Interlaken then check out Spatz Café. They are just around the corner and make the most incredible breakfasts, lunches and charcuterie boards! The staff and vibe here is very upbeat, combine that with perfect coffee and you have a winner!
