Aerotel Singapore – the best way to spend your transit at Changi Airport!

Best way to spend a transfer at Changi Airport

Aerotel Singapore at Changi Airport is the best way to spend your layover in Singapore! Booking the Aerotel Singapore was the best decision we made when spending 16 hours in transit at Changi airport.

Where is the Aerotel located?

Located in Terminal 1 and my favourite part of a Changi Airport layover, is the Aerotel Singapore. You’ll see signs directing you to the swimming pool, follow those and head up to the 3rd floor. The Aerotel Singapore is on the air side so you’ll need to be staying in transit, or like us travelling with Singapore Airlines. We landed with 16 hours between flights and as we were flying out with Singapore Airlines we were able to exit through immigration and then check back in, re-entering transit. If you are not flying Singapore Air then don’t leave transit until it is time for your check in to be open as you can’t get back through.

Is the Aerotel Singapore airport hotel worth it?

Yes! The Aerotel Singapore makes your transit a breeze! You will be more comfortable, feel more refreshed and ready for the next flight. We stayed here and let me honestly say, best decision ever! The Aerotel Singapore is luxurious and comfortable, making your transit a breeze. We checked in and found ourselves in the most comfortable room, perfect beds, charging ports and amenities like cookies, tea and coffee to really rest.

Facilities

There is a library with tea, coffee and cookies to snack on. The library is a lovely quiet space to relax, there is a large TV here and tables or lounges to sit at.

You also have access to the pool! There is a pool complete with spa and pool bar to sit and relax or take a swim. Buy a cocktail or beer and enjoy the chilled out vibes while watching the sky above you. This is the ultimate refresher from your flight!

Complimentary Meal

Your stay at the Aerotel Singapore comes with a complementary meal, just order and then wait in the library to be served. Mike selected fish, chips with salad which was all fresh, crunchy and complemented by the tastiest tartare sauce of his life. I was able to choose from multiple gluten free options, selecting a delicious chicken, rice and vegetable bake in a creamy sauce, it was a flavour sensation! In the morning a light breakfast of cereals and toast is served in the library as well.

Our Room

Our room in The Aerotel Singapore was the perfect blend of serene luxury and function. The beds were plush and comfortable. Falling into them and drifting off to a deep sleep it was hard to remember that we were only in transit, I felt like I was in a resort already. Our window overlooked the runway and we could watch the planes taxing to take off and landing.

The bathroom was a spa like retreat which was a dream after a long flight! We were able to completely refresh and feel alive again after a lovely hot shower! All required amenities were included and we didn’t find ourselves missing anything.

We highly recommend The Aerotel Singapore for any transit in Changi Airport, we had the most relaxing time and it really set us up well for the rest of our trip home. Waking up in the morning and just checking out and walking to our gate was so simple! The staff were incredible, so friendly and helpful we can’t wait to return!

Check out what we got up to in our Changi Airport layover including our stay at Aerotel Singapore! (By subscribing to our You Tube Channel you really help support us at no cost to you!)

Are You Booking a Trip Soon? These are the sites we trust!

These are the sites we use to book, they are our affiliate links and by clicking through you will help us earn a few cents to keep our website up online. We really appreciate it!

1. Book Your Flights

We will always check and book through Trip.com they have great deals!

2. Book Your Accommodations

We always check Booking.com, Expedia, Klook and Trip.com. They all have great deals and sometimes are better in different continents, for example we almost used Trip and Klook exclusively in Asia and Booking.com always in Europe!

3. Buy your E-sim!

E-sims have changed the game in communication while travelling. They are cheap and easy to use, we never go without them. Our current favourite is Yesim!

4. Book Your Tours & Experiences

I usually use and recommend Get Your Guide, Klook and Viator to book tours and activities. THey also have shuttle options to and from airports which is great. I love the real reviews you can check and we have never had a problem with them!

5. Book Your Rental Car

Self-driving is my favourite way to explore most destinations, we use Rental Cars.

6. Don’t Forget Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is a must, Mike travelled for years without it but now we see that was a little crazy! We feel so much better knowing we have a backstop for cancelled flights, delayed luggage, sickness on the road and wouldn’t be without it! Safety Wing is great, especially for frequent travellers.

7. Airport Lounge Access is a must!

Use Priority Pass to access to 1,400+ VIP lounges and airport experiences worldwide.
