Why you need to take a snorkelling tour in Aruba?

Aruba has lots of great snorkelling spots but some you do need to get to by car or by boat, these snorkelling tours combine the best spots with a great lunch and unlimited drinks! What more could you ask for? The staff are great and the whole day is really fun!

Why Pelican Adventures?

We went with Pelican Adventures and were so glad we did! Firstly they are located in such a convenient location right on the beach at Palm Beach! We simply walked over to the restaurant and the sign in desk is in the front. The boats are lined up along the side and after check in it was a short wait until boarding time.

They have the best catering! As they run a restaurant the catering for their day trips is excellent! The food is all fresh and delicious. Mike was happy eating his pastries for morning tea and bbq lunch while I was so excited to receive a separately packed gluten free meal! The staff are the best! They really look after you and make sure you are having a great day. With these three aspects added to the fact that you are on lovely boats and going to beautiful locations it would be impossible to not have a good time!

Which tours should I do?

We really recommend the Champagne Brunch Cruise and the Luxury Lagoon Cruise! They were both incredible day trip experiences, check out the details below. The other tours we recommend are the Sunset Cruise and the 4-Course Dinner Cruise.

Pelican Adventures Champagne Brunch Cruise

The Champagne Brunch Cruise was such a great day out on the water! We really wanted to go to one of the best snorkelling in Aruba and this was the perfect trip to see as much as we could. We signed in at the front counter, this was a simple and easy process. Within moments we were boarding our boat ready to go snorkelling.

Cruising over the blue Arabian waters was stunning! The open catamaran was the perfect way to get around as there was enough space for everyone. Mike enjoyed the morning tea of pastries (I couldn’t eat them as they were not gluten free) and coffee! We stopped for our first snorkelling spot and we went in to enjoy the perfect waters of Aruba. Looking for fish and turtles was so much fun, the water was easy to swim and snorkel the underwater life was beautiful. The snorkelling equipment was really good as well, in excellent condition and enough sizes to suit everyone.

Lunch on the snorkelling trip in Aruba

Back on board we tucked in to lunch. While the crew provided a big bbq cook up for the guests I was treated to my very own coeliac safe gluten free lunch of roast chicken, vegetables, salad and fruit salad. It was delicious and I was so impressed that allergies were so well catered for! All the meals were delicious and we enjoyed everything.
The drinks were flowing and the were cocktails were great! We enjoyed some pina coladas, cuba libre, rum punches…the Caribbean rum was the main ingredient in our drinks and they were so good!

After lunch we went to our last snorkel spots, the sunken boat to snorkel and see the wreck and then another spot that was super calm, where we could snorkel swim and just enjoy the afternoon before heading back to the dock. We spend the time swimming int eh most perfect water, jumping off the side of the boat and snorkelling in the clear waters.

We both loved our day so much and couldn’t fault it! The staff were so entertaining and always checking on everyone to make sure we were all having a good time. You can check out this tour here, we really recommend this one!

Luxury Lagoon Cruise

We had to do the Luxury Lagoon Cruise as it went in the complete opposite direction of the cruise the previous day. Greeted by a glass of champagne and jumping on to the big schooner sailing ship heading south to the lagoon, we passed cruise ships and different landmarks that were pointed out to us. It was great seeing a different area of Aruba.

Arriving at the lagoon we went snorkelling, swimming and rope jumping. The crew set up a rope swing to swing off the boat and jump in the water. It was such a fun day, the bar was set up with premium spirits and again cocktails flowed all day long. We had the best pina coladas ever!

Lunch was served and it was the best bbq, we had been watching the chef cooking it on the grill and it was so tasty! There were multiple salads as well as meat skewers and seafood. It was really delicious. Sitting back and enjoying the beautiful Aruba ocean surrounding us we were so happy with our choice to spend our day on this tour.

Truly we can’t recommend Pelican Adventures enough! These tours were the highlights of our time in Aruba, they really are the most comfortable and fun way to see the best snorkelling in Aruba!
