Best place to stay in Vancouver? We found it at the St Regis Hotel Vancouver! Perfectly comfortable, well located and excellent staff make this hotel the best in Vancouver. This is one hotel that really overdelivers and makes their guests feel at home.

While we were lucky enough to collaborate with The St Regis Hotel on this trip as always all opinions are our own. We really loved and highly recommend this trip. Location of the St Regis Hotel | The best place to stay in Vancouver

Situated perfectly in the centre of Downtown, staying at the St Regis Hotel means you can walk to anywhere! No need for a car, get out and explore on foot to soak up the cool city scenes. It’s only 100m from a metro as well so you can easily get around to further destinations if required.

History of the St Regis Hotel | The best place to stay in Vancouver

A historic building in Vancouver, and opened in 1913. Built as a place to combine lodging, dining and entertainment, located close to the Hudson’s Bay department store it is in the perfect position! In 2008 it underwent a massive renovation to its current luxurious and modern state.

Check in | The best place to stay in Vancouver

As soon as we entered the lobby we felt at home. The St Regis Hotel has an understated cool atmosphere. The elegant foyer is calm and the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Check in was a simple affair taking mere minutes. Within 5 minutes we were given our keys and on our way to the room. There is also a business centre and library right next to the check in desk which was a really useful space to work in!

Our Room | The best place to stay in Vancouver

We stayed in Room 402, it was an executive room and incredibly spacious! We entered in to the foyer with closet, containing all the essentials, ironing board/iron, safe, fridge, extra blanket, robes, slippers and ice bucket.

The bedroom is to the left and generously sized. The bed is huge and comfortable! We slept so soundly neither wanted to stir until absolutely necessary. The large TV opposite the bed made it too easy to be lazy and we relished in not jumping up to rave about and instead languish in our restful state.

The coffee station complete with Nescafé pod machine and cute St Regis mugs was perfect little way to get started before heading down for breakfast.

There were so many neat features to our room! One I loved was the digital clock next to my bed had an inbuilt phone charging station. What a nice surprise it was when searching for my charger, to not need it at all! These are the little things that really make you happy. You can tell the St Regis has really thought about the needs of their guests.

I also loved the colour palette of our room, the soothing duck egg blue colour of the beautiful and unique leather panelling look wall covering further enhanced the sanctuary ambiance. It may seem like a small detail but it’s these things that create the overall atmosphere of your stay.

The lounge room | St Regis Hotel the best place to stay in Vancouver

Between the bedroom and bathroom was a lounge space. This is such a generous option to include as quite often in hotels there is a lounge chair in a corner that’s never used. At the St Regis Hotel this is a space to come together at the end of a day exploring, share a drink and chat about what we loved most. There is another large TV here so we had a little movie night with one of the many SKY channels provided. It was so cozy and made us cherish our time together at the St Regis Hotel.

Sustainable practice at St Regis Hotel Vancouver

Another little feature that was really useful was the lighting system. There were switches through out each space to turn individual lights on/off, however there was a master switch right at the entry door that you can use when leaving to turn all remaining lights off. This is such a great sustainable concept that is also easy for guests to use.

The inclusion of toiletry dispensers in the shower is another great feature to save on plastic waste, with the beautiful L’Occitane products it was a treat to use.

The bathroom | The best place to stay in Vancouver

Walking through the lounge I entered the stunning bathroom space! When I tell you it is tiled completely in marble I mean it, from bench top to shower! It was a serene sanctuary! The heated floor under my feet was another little way the St Regis reminded you they were always considering the comfort of their guests. Looking around the double sink bench top I noticed one of my favourite skincare brands, L’Occitane! Talk about the icing on the already loaded full of cream cake! I really do think you can tell a lot about a hotel from the toiletries they provide guests in their bathrooms. L’Occitane is a brand that is known for its soothing and perfectly scented products. The French brand is synonymous with a luxurious yet understated elegance, fitting so perfectly with the St Regis Hotel.

Breakfast | St Regis Hotel the best place to stay in Vancouver

Another pivotal part of a hotel stay is breakfast. I love when it is included in your stay as it feels like the hotel values you as a guest and of course this is true of the St Regis Hotel!

We took the elevator downstairs to the lower level and entered a calm yet cool breakfast space. The decor was as charming and elegant as our room. Breakfast consisted of three options, a granola yoghurt, a traditional bacon and eggs or an omelette. We both selected the traditional breakfast with poached eggs, bacon and of course the St Regis was able to swap out my bread for gluten free bread. Nothing is too much trouble for the St Regis and their wonderful staff.

Both of our breakfasts were cooked exactly as we would prefer! Our eggs expertly soft poached, the bacon crispy and the potato hash seasoned to perfection. With our coffee refilled while we ate and a fresh juice to enjoy we were thoroughly satisfied. The only thing better than the food was the staff! Each were so friendly and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time at breakfast. It was the best service at a hotel breakfast we have ever experienced. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile and a positive attitude. They really made our morning start so well each day.

Dining | The best place to stay in Vancouver

The dining options are as of high quality as the hotel itself. The Bar and Grill and Steakhouse are positioned each end of the hotel while under the front left corner is a little French bakery, Beaucoup, that is so charming and its products so delicious it’s hard not to stop in for a snack each day.

The St Regis Hotel really delivers on quality. At every stage of our stay we felt comfortable, at ease and genuinely happy. From the staff, our room and breakfast each morning there was nothing to want for. We loved our time at theSt Regis Hotel, and can’t wait to return to visit again.
