Location
Perfectly situated on Paje Beachfront it has sweeping views of the ocean and all the action that unfolds along it! It’s in the southern part of the beach making it quieter but still an easy walk to the main hustle and bustle.

Rooms
The rooms at The Nest are laid out around the stunning pool area. Each suite is carefully angled for maximum privacy from neighbours with a sitting area in front. Inside you’ll enter a beautifully appointed room with rustic coastal features. The colour palette is warm and inviting, creating a cosy and relaxing sanctuary.
The large comfortable bed fills the centre of the room with driftwood surrounding it adding a castaway vibe. The room also features a lounge area to rest on when not working at the wooden desk. All the modern necessities are found, a mini bar fridge, water, coffee and tea as well as multiple charging ports.

The bathroom
Walking through the intricately carved wooden French doors you’ll enter the bathroom. An outdoor spa like space that is fully tiled in warm sandstone complete with both a bath and shower. We loved the unique taps and soups made of coconut shells and bamboo! Surrounded by bamboo walls and lush gardens it feels indulgent and serene.

The Pool
An oasis in not only the hotel but in Paje itself. While the wind may pick up on the beach escape to the pool for a calm and magical experience. Bright blue and sparkling the water is fresh and inviting. A dreamy swing sits above the water begging to be used. The lush gardens surround the pool creating the perfect tropical enclave.

Restaurant and Bar
Breakfast is included in our stay and The Nest doesn’t disappoint! A decadent selection of fresh fruit, savoury egg and vegetable dishes as well as sweet treats is on offer. We tried a range of options during our stay and couldn’t decide on a favourite, they were all delicious. The restaurant serves vegetarian options all day until evening. The pizzas were delectable, they also serve cold beer and chilled coconuts in which we had to indulge while sitting on our sun beds.

The beachfront
The sweeping beach while quiet during the early morning will soon come to life. Find your spot amongst the many sitting areas, choosing from sun loungers, cabanas, and tables to watch the action. The Nest was a beautiful place to relax in the sun all day and take a quick dip when you wanted.
This is a kitesurfing haven with people travelling just to take lessons or practice the sport. Watch as they zip by from your front row seats while chatting to the many vendors that stop by to sell or take pictures.

Activities
There are loads of activities you can book at The Nest. They offer excellent massage spa services as well as kite surfing lessons, horseback riding along the beach and yoga.
The staff
We couldn’t fault the incredible staff and service at The Nest. Each person we spoke to was friendly, welcoming and ready with a smile. When it was time for us to depart we felt like we were leaving old friends and look forward to returning soon.

We loved our romantic couples stay at The Nest, check it out for your stay in Zanzibar. It is truly a destination experience and really made our time in Paje unforgettable.

Self-driving is my favourite way to explore most destinations, we use Rental Cars.
